- The TWC-16 conveyor is designed with a maximum working height of 10 feet, a minimum working height of 7 feet 9 inches, and a travel height of 7 feet. This wide range of adjustment allows it to handle both high stacking applications and low-profile truck loading with ease.
- At full height, the conveyor can build large, efficient stacks of seasonal firewood for storage or drying. At its lowest working position, it can directly load into the bed of a pickup truck, making it highly versatile for different stages of firewood handling.
- Once loaded, the same pickup can be used to transport the conveyor to the next job site using the integrated 2-inch ball hitch. This mobility makes it easy to relocate the system between projects without additional equipment.
- Height adjustment is controlled by a hydraulic lift cylinder, giving the operator smooth and reliable positioning control. The system is operated through a single-spool valve and can be adjusted multiple times throughout the day to match changing job requirements.
- The modular hopper is constructed from 3/16-inch high-strength plate steel on the bottom and 1/8-inch steel on the sides, providing both durability and reduced weight where appropriate. It is fully bolt-on, allowing for quick removal, maintenance, or future upgrades.
- Its funnel-shaped design makes loading significantly easier, as it allows direct filling from loader buckets without additional handling. This improves workflow efficiency and reduces the time spent feeding material into the conveyor system.
- A standard ground skid helps stabilize the conveyor by maintaining solid contact with the ground during operation. It also lifts the roller off the ground, creating space for debris to fall away while reducing buildup in the system.
- The rubber belt fines deflector further improves material separation by preventing dirt, bark, and debris from entering the roller system. Combined with the skid design, this results in a cleaner final firewood stack and helps extend overall equipment life.
Self-Aligning Tapered Rollers
Belt tracking is a common challenge with many log conveyors on the market, often leading to production interruptions, unnecessary downtime, and increased maintenance demands—issues the TWC-16 is specifically designed to avoid. Thanks to its tapered roller design, the conveyor belt naturally self-centers during operation, automatically guiding itself back into alignment if it begins to drift off track. This self-correcting action remains effective even when the conveyor is positioned on slightly uneven ground, helping ensure smooth, continuous operation, reduced wear on components, and fewer disruptions in the firewood processing workflow.
Rubber Belt Fines Deflector
The rubber belt fines deflector is designed to prevent loose debris, dirt, and fine material from falling into the conveyor’s roller system during operation. By keeping unwanted material out of the moving components, it helps maintain smoother belt performance and reduces the buildup that can interfere with consistent operation. This ensures the conveyor runs more efficiently while minimizing wear on critical parts.
In addition to improving machine performance, the fines deflector plays an important role in product quality by helping produce a cleaner, more uniform stack of firewood at the discharge end of the conveyor. Less contamination in the system means a better final product and reduced cleanup time after processing. It also contributes to longer overall equipment lifespan, allowing operators to maintain high productivity levels for years of continuous use without unnecessary maintenance interruptions.
Spool Valve Controlled Height Adjustments
The TWC-16 firewood conveyor's hydraulic lift cylinder raises and lowers the conveyor, capable of operating as high as 10' in the air and as low as 7'9". The hydraulic lift cylinder is controlled by a tandem center spool valve, located on the Power Pack frame.
By simply removing the hydraulic lift cylinder's pull pin and using the tandem center spool valve, users can make quick height adjustments to the log conveyor without skipping a beat in production. Once the desired height is achieved, lock the lift cylinder into place by re-inserting the pull pin and securing it with a cotter pin.
Safely Transport Your Firewood
All Timberwolf firewood elevators come standard with a ground skid and modular hopper constructed from High Steel plate steel. The ground skid is located beneath the hopper and maintains solid contact with the ground to ensure stability, as well as lifts the firewood conveyor's roller off the ground so unwanted debris can fall through.
These overbuilt features increase the firewood machine's lifespan, as well as create a safe operator experience.
Packaged Firewood Without the Fine Material
The TWC-16 wood conveyor is designed to naturally help separate some fine material during the transfer process as logs move along the belt, improving overall cleanliness and efficiency in the workflow. However, for operations that require an even higher level of finished product quality, the optional Grizzly Bars provide an additional layer of refinement at the discharge point.
Measuring 36 inches in length, the Grizzly Bars are engineered to remove remaining fines and small debris from split logs as they are offloaded, ensuring a cleaner, more uniform final product. Built with a convenient bolt-on frame design, they can be quickly and securely attached to the end of the TWC-16 conveyor, allowing operators to upgrade their system easily without modifying existing equipment.
